This teardrop shaped artisan bird nester is the perfect size for small garden birds to nest in during spring, and to roost in alone or in a pair during the cold winter months. The nester is handmade from natural seagrass and recycled saris in Bangladesh where these products provide women and their families with a vital income.

The Tahera nester has both a long loop at the top to hang it, and a metal hook at the back to secured it to trees or hedges. It also has a reinforced entrance which protrudes slightly, making it easier for small birds to land and perch on.

This nester is the perfect place for small birds to shelter during the cold winter months. Position it in a sheltered space, ideally facing north to south east.
