These gorgeous and colourful baskets are handmade using traditional coil and plaiting techniques by refugee artisans from Burundi

Good Things:

  • These baskets are handmade by Abarundi refugee artisans now living in refugee camps in Rwanda
  • Indego Africa is Fair Trade certified, ensuring artisans receive fair wage payments and decent working conditions

Made from hand-dyed sweetgrass and sisal. The basket is created using traditional coil and plaiting techniques by artisans in Mahama and Kigeme refugee camps in Rwanda.

Each basket has a hanging loop at the back, so you can show it off in all its glory on a picture hook.
