This unique rice bag pouch is made from bright and colourful rice sacks in Kathmandu, Nepal. Each design is different, depending on the bag used to create the bag. Yours might include bright colours, images, Hindi or Nepali script, or even cooking instructions! You will be sent a design at random, which will be unique to you.
Each pouch has a high quality YKK coloured zip at the top and the inside of each pouch is lined with sari or upcycled cotton fabric.
These pouches are strong and the outer surface can be wiped clean with a wet cloth, making them great for pens, pencils, cosmetics, school supplies, art materials, loose cash, coins or receipts, or anything else you fancy.
Your rice pouch is handmade by women in Kathmandu, Nepal. Making these products helps women earn a living wage and ongoing employment. Together we can provide alternative options for disadvantaged women with the aim to lift them out of poverty and help them to become self-sustaining and independent.
